Friday Fill-In

This week has been a good one.  As most of you know … I quit smoking.  The cravings have been bad and many times I’ve been tempted.  I think … just one … what could it hurt.  Then it hits me; I worked so hard to get to this point (8 DAYS NO SMOKING!), so why should I ruin that.  Let’s go for nine days.  Tomorrow, let’s go for ten.  And hey – the nicotine patch helps too.

I’ve already noticed many things changing.  I have more energy.  I’m getting more active.  I’m eating better and being more mindful of what I do eat (mainly because I don’t want to gain any weight with the quit smoking deal.)  My house is more tidy and things get done more often than when I did smoke.  I’ve also been knitting up a storm, to keep my hands busy.  I just finished blocking a shawl-type scarf and have another one the blocking boards tonight.  Hopefully I will get pictures of them tomorrow, if I can talk Tory into modeling for me.

I want to thank everyone for their support.  It means so much to have great friends and family who are backing me up in this decision.  Thank you so much!

6. Nothing can really keep my mind from wandering .
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to knitting and relaxing, tomorrow my plans include cleaning the basement and the craft room, going to see a movie with my hubby and Sunday, I want to sleep in, relax, and knit!
