Oy! Today was an amazingly wonderful WARM day!!!! I was so happy to have a nice weather day on my weekend off, it’s true!
I woke up early and did a little spring cleaning. Starting in the basement, I went through boxes and divided items between the throw away/ keep/ Goodwill piles. Then I cleaned the rest of the house, changed the beds, etc. It was nice to get all of the done and out of the way.
And one interesting thing happened while I was cleaning. I was going through boxes and found a photo album. In the back were some cards, mostly the ones my parents sent me while I was living in New York. Then, I found a Valentine’s Day card that my Grandfather has sent me while I was up NY. I opened it up … and there was a $20. No lie. You see, even in death, my grandparents can’t leave me alone. And for the record … that’s fine by me!
John and I ran some errands (new pillows!) and relaxed. He brew some beer outside on his new set-up (details soon at his new blog.) I ran by Mom’s, worked on a project for work ( a new picture communication card for stroke patients,) and took a nap!
John grilled ribs for dinner tonight (ooo… pork and BBQ!)
Oh – I’m on FaceBook now. So look me up! I had a nice chat with Cyrena, a friend from high school, as well as my knitting buddy, Donna.
Tomorrow we’re going to get out of the house and mill around Shepardstown for awhile, and I’m going to get some knitting done.
Every thing seems just ten times better when the weather is nice, don’t you think?
Love that you found the $$ in the card. That’s special.
Enjoy your beautiful Sunday! I’m going to knit too.
We’ve had some warm weather too. It sure is hard to get used to. Not that I’m complaining …. 🙂
