So I know I’m a little late posting about this, but hey – better late than never!
Our honeymoon was fantastic! We drove up to Atlantic City the day after the wedding and didn’t do much that evening. Sleeping, drinking, and relaxing were in order. Most of the time was spent on the Boardwalk area, with a great view of the ocean and the sand dunes. The Pier had some amazing stores and restaurants (we ate at Phillip’s Seafood and the sushi/saki bar that they have.) John took part in a poker tournament while I went shopping at the outlets. We just spent our time eating really good food, drinking great wine and beer, and gambling!!! We did make a day trip to Cape May; what a sweet little town. We walked about 6 blocks down to the Emlen Physick Estate for lunch at their Tea Room, as well as checking out their exhibit on Victorian Spiritualism.
We had a great time, and really want to make it up that way again. And yes, in case anyone is wondering, I did win some money. I put $20 in a penny slot machine and won $400. Now my Dad is threatening to kidnap me and make me go win him money. LOL
Okay … on to the photos!
Here I am on the Boardwalk.
And here’s one of John on the Boardwalk.
John in front of the indoor waterfall/pond at Bally’s Wild West Casino.
We went to a pub one day for lunch and as you can see, the birds are really tame. Well … I was feeding them, too. 🙂
We visited the Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum. John had never been to one, so we had to check it out!
And here’s a great shot of us (well, John really,) at the Sushi/Sake bar.
Still with me? We’re almost done, I promise! Next up is a few photos from Cape May.
This is the Emlen Physick Estate, where we ate lunch.
This is also where they had the exhibit on Victorian Spiritualism. It’s something that has always interested me (along with almost everything about the Victorian era.)
And here’s one of my favorite Houdini photo!
And, of course … the light house! We had done a lot of walking up to this point, so we didn’t climb the light house, but you can if you want to!
As you can see … we had such a wonderful time of the honeymoon! So wonderful that we didn’t want to come back to real life! It was an adjustment, both of us having two weeks off, but I think we’re finally back in the swing of things!
