My best laid plans for the weekend past were shattered by getting sick. I was fine until about 1am on Saturday, when I woke up and couldn’t breath, had a massive headache, and every muscle in my body hurt. So, all I did this weekend was sleep, eat chicken noodle soup, and drink lots of fluids. I’m feeling better … well, enough that I think I can make it through the night at work, which is all I am really asking for. I still have this horrible body ache.
Have you ever watched a TV show that just captures you and transports you away? There have been a few shows like this for me; Dresden Files on Sci-Fi (cancelled after one season – what is that?) and LOST! But now, I’ve found a new tv series that shakes me to my core.
True Blood, on HBO, is one of the best TV series that I have seen. I mean, yes, I’ve always had a thing for all the creepy-goes bump in the night-sexy vampire stories. But this is just fantastic. It reminds me of Carnival in some ways, but also of Six Feet Under. It’s just fantastic, and if you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it. And thanks to Tina for getting me hooked on it.
Now, what could be more exciting than a great tv show about Vampires???? A new kitten!
This is Cooley, our new addition to the family. He’s very small – only 8 or so weeks old! He’s been sneezing and coughing a little bit, so the vet put him on antibiotics, just to be on the safe side. The only way I could take a picture of him was to hold him, since all he wants to do is run around and play! Mavy is doing well with the change. She hisses and growls, but that’s only natural. We’ve been sure to show her extra love and give her extra treats. But really … who couldn’t love something this cute?
Well … I need to get ready for work. So I’ll leave you with my answer to the Fall Swap Question of the Week.
Falling For Ewe Question of the Week #4
What do you plan on dressing up as for Halloween? If you are not dressing up, what will your kids be?
Sadly, this is the first year ever that I will NOT be dressing up. With planning a wedding, I didn’t have time to plan a costume. So, I’ll probably just hand out candy and watch scary movies with John this year. Now, next year …. I have plans for either a Victorian or Civil War costume. I have 12 years of this amazing cream colored brocade in my closet that needs to be put to good use. I guess I should start working on those sewing skills too, right?
