Devin tagged me on this one.  It’s one I’ve never done and looked like a lot of fun, since I only have about 5 months to go until the big day!

1. Where did you meet?

If you really want to get technical, we met in middle school (junior high.)  We met in high school, in the band.  He played trombone, I played clarinet and tenor sax.  We kinda did a group dating thing with two other friends, not really hitting it off in the romance area, but remained friends until he graduated a year ahead of me.  Five or so years went by, we went our separate ways, etc.  Then one day while I was living in NY state, he found me on MySpace.  We started to reconnect and when I came home a couple years ago to visit, we saw each other again, and the rest, they say, is history.
2. How long did you date?

We dated for about six months and moved in together when I moved home from NY.
3. How old is he?

He’s 26, about a year and 5 months older than me.

4. Who eats more?

That’s really hard to say.  I think we eat about the same, but I really snack like crazy when I’m at work.

5. Who said “I love you” first?

I did.  I remember standing in his kitchen with him one night and it just came out.  I had to say it or I was going to bust open!
6. Who is taller?

He is, by about 5 or 6 inches (I think … I’m not sure on exact measurements, but I’m 5′2″ and he’s taller.)

7. Who sings better?

I think he does, although I think we’re both more comfortable with a reed/mouthpiece than singing.

8. Who is smarter?

When it comes to math and money, he is.  I’m the history buff in the house.  One thing I love about him is that he can know birds by their calls.  Isn’t that the coolest?

9. Whose temper is worse?

Neither of us has a bad temper, but I tend to be more grumpy than he does, by a long shot.

10. Who does the laundry?

We both do our own laundry, unless I’m feeling adventurous and just pile his in along with mine.

11. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed?

I do.  But during the week, with him getting up at 5am and me staying up because I work night shift, we usually sleep in separate beds.  He’s a really light sleeper and I hate to wake him up, so it doesn’t really bother us.

12. Who pays the bills?

He does.  I put what money needs to go into the joint checking account, he writes the checks, and I mail them.

13. Who cooks dinner?

Most of the time I do, because of my schedule (12 hour shifts = more days off.)  I also do most of the cleaning as well, but it’s because I’m home more.

14. Who drives when you are together?

I do.  He commutes about 2 hours a day into the suburbs of DC for work, so he really hates to drive any other time.

15. Who is more stubborn?

Oooo … that’s an easy one … ME!  I get it honestly from my mother.

16. Who kissed whom first?

Isn’t this horrible … I don’t remember.  It was probably me, because I’m that type of girl. LOL

17. Who is the first to admit to being wrong?

We are both good on this one.  We never fight, hardly argue, and always talk about things first.

18. Whose parents do you see the most?

Even though both of our parents live in town, we see mine the most.

19. Who proposed?

He did, on the 4th of July last year.  He cooked me dinner, brought a great bottle of Riesling back from a visit to NY, and even got on bended knee!

20. What’s his best physical attribute?

His butt.  I love the dimples!

21. Who has more friends?

I think we both have the same amount of friends … they just all happen to live in other states, with the exception of a few.

22. What are you most proud of him for?

Putting up with me.  No, seriously … with my depression and mood swings (which happen to be few and far between now), I can be pretty hard to live with.  I’m proud of him for not walking away when he saw me at my lowest points.

23. Who has more siblings?

We’re both only children!

24. Who wears the pants in the family?

I think we’re both about equal really.  We have a fantastic partnership, because our love is based on friendship first.  We work really well together and balance each other out.
