Goodies!
April 28, 2008 by p3knitter
When I woke up today and went out to get the mail, there was a package on my front porch from Anne! Look what she made for the new house!

There is a skein of Tofutsies (something I have always wanted to try!), an awesome dish towell (that I was admiring on her blog), and two really cool dish clothes! Thank you so much Anne!!!!
And here is reason #13 as to why I should never work on lace patterns while I’m at work … busy and exhausted.

One leg is about two inches longer than the other. I have no idea how this happened. I know that I was exhausted and busy last night, which didn’t help. I thought I was counting and following my notes. So, yeah - these are for the Dobby sock pile.
The good thing about having some yarn left over from the above socks is now I have more yarn to work on squares for Amanda’s Cancer Survivor Blanket. Her husband is a 10 year cancer survivor, and she’ll be assembling the squares and sewing up the blanket, to donate it to the Relay For Life drive. Follow the link for the details, and if you want to make a square, you can just mail it to me and I’ll get it to her.
Tonight I felt mom’s bag and make a quick pair of fingerless gloves for a co-worker who just got a new job in the lab, and will soon be completing her phlebotomy class.
Have a great night!

Oh, no! Sorry about the socks!
What a fantastic gift from Anne!
That washcloth with the house on it kicks ASS.
Sorry about your socks there, they’re really beautiful otherwise, which I know doesn’t help take the sting away at ALL.
What a lovely bunch of goodies! A nice way to start your week
So sorry about your socks! They’re beautiful though. No way to resurrect them?
Pretty socks… so sorry about the legs. Couldn’t you frog from the top down and then re-cuff at the right height?
What a great gift from Anne!
I am really sorry about your socks, but I’m thrilled the package arrived
