After knitting ferociously between call bells last night, I finished my top secret project (aka Pay It Forward Project #2.) I know that the recipient is going to LOVE what I knitted. It was a challenging pattern, but I really enjoyed working it. I promise to post pictures once she’s received the parcel, which I’m mailing tomorrow.
I actually have a photo that I can post! I’ve been working on some socks for me! I can’t remember for the life of me the name and color of the yarn, but it’s Green Mountain Spinnery and I bought it at Rhinebeck back in October.
I must say, I really like the colors in the yarn. I bought this yarn because it’s something I wouldn’t normally buy for myself, color wise.
I’m off to do more knitting. Tonight I’m off (thank goodness … it’s been super crazy busy at work lately.) I’m going to work on my socks some more, and tomorrow I need to get the body of the baby sweater finished. I’m also doing a bit of decorating tomorrow evening. The walls in the apartment are very bare, and mainly because we’re renting and I didn’t want to put anything up. But we’re going to be here at least another year or so, and I want to start making the space more pleasing to the eye.

Glad to hear that you’re able to do some productive knitting! Enjoy your night off!
Good luck with quitting the smoking! I’ve got terrible sinuses and have never favored the smoking crowd – I have enough troubles breathing on my own thank you. But there are a few people in my life that are trying to quit right now. Strangely enough, they are all turning to the new pill that’s out.
Ditto Wendy! Quitting is hard from what I’ve heard, but the end results are worth it!
I rushed over here from Wendy’s because I wanted to throw my support your way. I know it’s tough, and I know it’s a tremendous step for you because you ENJOY smoking. We’re behind you all the way.
LOVE those socks. What a great “mess” of colors.
